Framing today is for the french doors onto read patio, and windows at end of kitchen.
This is how it looked when we broke for lunch. Had to take out the wall between old kitchen and living room, remove old doorway, and change a segment of outside wall into part of the french door.
A post is removed and new Paralam beam in not yet installed. Interestingly there was no shoring necessary (yet), as the double header and floor boards suspend the 4×10 roof joist from above. It did not budge an inch.
I will post a photo from inside tomorrow.
Lots of garbage. It is starting to pile up. We have a trailer that goes daily to the garbage dump – but we are not keeping up right now (the pile in the front is even larger)!
